Lucy Kay from Nottingham is an opera soprano. She currently lives in Glasgow.
She was picked on due to her love of classical music at school. She finished in second place on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 after her incredible rendition of “Nessun dorma” in the final.
On 19 June 2014, she signed a multi-album deal with Sony Music. Her debut studio album Fantasia was released on 24 September 2014 and debuted at number 18 on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the UK Classical Chart.
MerseyGirls were finalists on Britain’s Got Talent 2017 after which Julia successfully underwent life-changing spinal surgery following her appearances on the hit ITV show.
To celebrate 15-year-old Julia’s return to dancing, MerseyGirls will perform at the two shows alongside BGT winners including 2017 victor Tokio Myers, musical theatre group Collabro, who triumphed in 2014; dog trick act Ashleigh and Sully, magician Lance Corporal Richard Jones (2016); Attraction (2013) and Paul Potts (2007).
