With local beers & the freshest ingredients – you can’t go wrong at Anthony’s.
It has warmth and feels incredibly friendly and children are clearly made welcome and love to eat here.
I visited their Doral, Florida location in Jan 2015. I loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious….

For the purposes of our review our portions were taster size and not the actual size served at Anthony’s.
Portions come in small and large (the hugely generous / large portions are big enough for a family to share!)
With a modern, vibratnt, Italian / noisy atmosphere – Anthony’s serves up a brilliantly specific menu of Iatlian greats.
From meatballs, mozerella, ribs to Pizza – it’s the perfect modern, 2015 Pizza place.
To begin don’t miss the house ‘Anthony’s salad’ – wonderfully refreshing with tomato, olives, chickpea, onion and a wonderful dressing.
Next, the mozzarella salad fresh, tomatoes delicious and packed with flavour and enough to feed a family as a side…..a main entrée for vegetarians.
I’m more used to soft buffalo mozzarella and this was more firm – this was my only disappointment in the entire meal, not to my taste but refreshing regardless.
I LOVE meatballs…were these as good as Mama use d to make…
With stunning meat, a delicious tomoato sauce & ricotta on the saide with pita- cooked to perfection and tender, the meatballs were ha huge hit!
A delightful dish. I could eat that as a meal in itself and leave well happy!
So, the chicken wings – well, at Anthony’s they come with onions on top, I’ve never had that before but they far surpass your average bar wings. They’re not covered in sauce and have much more meat than most bar wings.
However, one of my favourite things ever is the eggplant – and this is a truly authentic, rustic dish that is much lighter than so many other restaurants. A real treat of a meal.
Next, the ribs arrived which were spicy – VERY spicy – wow! A new take on ribs and packed with spice and favour.
Again, like the wings, they’re not ‘bar ribs’ and covered in sauce or ‘fall off the bone’ style…..
So, on to the Pizza…
I love the ‘thin crust’ coal oven style of pizza. So much lighter, less dough and a crispy bite.
You cannot re-create this in an ordinary oven.
Wonderful texture with the crispy edge and bottom and pie packed with filling. Fabulous.
Anthony’s have basically invested in the technology to make the perfect pizza.
With plentiful fillings and cooked to perfection, you cannot fail to be impressed….
I opted for two of the signature pizzas.
The mozzarella and tomato pizza was beautifully refreshing and the tomatoes were excellent.
If you haven’t tasted a fresh pizza like this you’re missing a treat!
Next came the ‘Paul & Young Ron’ – a meat lovers paradise. Wow what fun and totally original…..
With tiny meatballs, sweet or spicy peppers (I went sweet lol) and ricotta it was a wonderful pizza unlike anything you could ever have delivered to your home.
Top marks for Anthony’s pies!
Finally, before you leave – don’t miss Anthony’s New York style Cheesecake.
It’s the only dessert on the entire menu so can it live up to expectation?????
Well….
If you like cheesecake – it’s probably the best there is! Again, enough to share so don’t be greedy lol.
If you don’t like cheesecake – I guess you’re screwed. x
Anthony’s feels fresh, fun and delivers quality food with top ingredients.
For me, I’d come back just for the meatballs and house salad….top class!
