You will not be disappointed!
Enjoy Alex Belfield’s Exclusive Audio / Visual review via YouTube:
69 couldn’t be a more perfect age or number for Rod Stewart. He’s still got it – he’s still sexy. There wasn’t a dry seat in the house at the Colosseum and despite turning 70 this year, he worked the stage like he was 30 years his junior!
At Caesars Palace, Rod Stewart gets audiences on their feet with a set list of the iconic rock and R&B favorites that have defined Stewart’s five-decade-long career.
I’ve never seen a man look more comfortable or at home on stage, this enormous stage in Las Vegas. A natural home for Rod.
Rod Stewart’s Las Vegas sets include hits over 90 minutes incldung “Maggie May,” “You Wear it Well,” “Hot Legs,” “You’re in My Heart,” “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” and “Some Guys Have All the Luck” mixed with a few rarities like, “Broken Arrow” and “The Killing of Georgie,” and some sizzling covers.
The high-impact show is designed to give audiences that intimate, only in Las Vegas concert experience, with no fan more than 120 feet from the magnificent Colosseum stage.
The genius’ at Ceasars worked out how to make this small area or very large theatre feel intimate and small. Then again it was built for Celine Dion so it had to be perfect. Every seat is a great seat at the Colosseum
This show basically crescendo’s into an orgy of fun.
Rod is no spring chicken but he dominates the Caesars Colosseum stage with his massive personality, ad-libs, cool moves and his legendary ‘rustic’ voice.
No-one has ever said Rod has the best voice in showbiz, he doesn’t. However, what he has is sincerity, warmth, a rich tone and pure heart with fabulous delivery. Every song tells a story.
These qualities are virtually none existent on shows like The Voice & X-Factor.
Anyone who wants to be in show business should watch this master class in Live performance.
As well as Rod you also get 3 amazing backing singers, a world class band, a huge production spectacular and a wonderful performance from his daughter.
I always get nervous when Stars feel compelled to celebrate their off-spring, this wasn’t a token gesture of integrity – Ruby Stewart has all of her fathers pure talent, natural warmth and stage presence.
Here’s Ruby Stewart on stage during her two numbers, one of which with Rod….
I cannot say enough good things about this show.
What is most endearing about Rod Stewart is that it is totally effortless.
It’s like he was born to do it….and after 500 years on stage – he still seems to loves it.
Trust me, in Las Vegas this is incredibly rare with the ‘legends’.
By the end of this world class show – the entire 4100 audience were up on their feet rocking in the isles. At one point Rod even ventures into the audience which the crowd just loved!
Be warned – towards the end Rod loves to play football with the audience (all signed by the bigman) – do not fall asleep because if one of those bad boys hits you they are going to hurt! They’re real soccer/foot balls so keep your eyes peeled!!!
The night closes with balloons and ‘Do You Think I’m Sexy’ – in one word Rod, YES!
5* – Best One Man Show in Las Vegas 2014!
